कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी ने महिला आरक्षण बिल का समर्थन किया. इसके साथ ही उन्होंने सेंगोल के मामले में केंद्र सरकार को घेरा. राहुल गांधी ने कहा कि कल में चर्चा सुन रहा था. सेंगोल की चर्चा ही रही थी. उन्होंने कहा कि जब अंग्रेजों ने उनसे पूछा तो हमारे क्रांतिकारी नेताओं ने कहा कि हम जनता को सत्ता देंगे. वोट सत्ता ट्रांसफर का प्रतीक बन गया. पंचायती राज उस ओर एक कदम था. सब इस बात को मानते हैं कि महिलाओं को और जगह मिलनी चाहिए.
