Right then, a new week in the 2025 IPL season and it is Gujarat Titans who take a big step in remaining the front runners to seal a playoffs berth as KKR fail to get back a few lost places in the standings. Though Rinku Singh is still at the crease but the required rate is too much to hunt down from here, and it will be a miracle to chase the target from this point. The batting has let them down again, and they will have to address this issue going forward. GT have been pretty emaculated with their strategies so far, and their bowlers have delivered. The form of Rashid Khan was an issue for them, but now, as he has picked up two key wickets, this issue is also sorted for them. This team is looking like a well-balanced side, and they are on the verge of another win here. With that, Ramandeep Singh comes out to bat for KKR.

Strategic Break. An excellent phase of play for the Gujarat Titans here. Over 4.1 was the occasion on which Kolkata Knight Riders got their last boundary, and since then, it's been a dry run of singles and doubles. Ajinkya Rahane is well settled, while Venkatesh Iyer has looked a bit scratchy, to say the least. One of these two will now have to switch gears and keep runs coming, as this partnership has been below run-a-ball so far. Gujarat Titans, unlike their counterparts, have been sharp in the field, and have kept the batters on a leash so far. To put the squeeze on further, Gill has summoned Sai Kishore into the attack. He replaces Rashid Khan.
At the end of the Powerplay, KKR are 45/1, going toe-to-toe with GT, who were at an identical score at this stage. However, KKR have lost one wicket. Prasidh Krishna (1-0-9-0) is back on. He replaces Siraj.
